Was very hungry and didn't feel like cooking today so, along with picking up something from a different place, I headed over to Reading Terminal to see what I might want there. It's hard to not want to buy food from a bunch of places when in there, but I stayed focused on just getting one meal form one place. I was trying to stay on a healthy-ish track/not pig out but something that would satisfy me. I'd never tried or had anything form this place before but I love a good wrap/sandwich. They have some of set items for you to choose from with "examples" of the items in the display case along with fresh produce. When I got home I made sure to take a bite to see how it was... I liked it. One thing that is appreciated is the size of the wrap - very generous on the amount of meat and toppings in it and the general size of it. Each sandwich/wrap automatically comes with a bag of chips and drink which is convenient. Just wish maybe there was a bit more options to choose for the sides (only one type of chips and drinks were either a coke, sprite or water); but I can understand from the business standpoint of wanting to make certain things simplified and streamlined to ensure they are keep

We love The Original Turkey. The sandwiches are so delicious and fresh (both the bread and the warm turkey), and the staff are great, too. Reading Terminal is full of great vendors, but I highly recommend The Original Turkey for a delicious meal. As much as I enjoy meals from other stalls, I almost always choose The Original Turkey for my lunch or dinner because I know I won't be disappointed. It always hits the spot.

This place is a hidden gem in the city of Philadelphia. It's located inside of the Reading Terminal Market. The customer service is outstanding. And the turkey is fresh. I got the #1 turkey on baguette with lettuce and tomato, delicious. My date ordered the #2 a turkey wrap. The bread other ingredients were all fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this location.

On our way back to NC from NY, we stopped in for a wander in Philadelphia, and I'm so glad we picked up some turkey for lunch! My husband went for the turkey, mashed potatoes, and corn. I tried the turkey steak (like a cheese steak and a chicken Parm had a turkey baby in the best way). My only note would be that the bread might have been a little better if it was slightly warm, otherwise, great food and good portions at a decent price. I also forgot to ask for a receipt for parking validation possibilities. Oops!

The turkey is so juicy and flavorful and the sourdough stuffing is just incredible. I could literally have this every single day. They’re so speedy and very friendly. Would give this 10 stars if I could because they PACK the containers. It’s a perfect seal. If it was appropriate to do so, I would’ve licked it clean in public. I dragged my boyfriend back the next day and get more for the week.
